TheĀ Tecsun S2000 Desktop RadioĀ is the ultimate desktop listeners radio combining all of the features of the Tecsun radio range and more. TheĀ Tecsun S2000 Desktop Radio will allow you to listen to MW, FM, shortwave, longwave and VHF Air Band broadcasts all on the one radio.
The Tecsun S2000 Desktop Radio has multiple external antenna inputs allowing you to maximise your listening enjoyment by matching an external antenna to each band. Longwave and MW broadcast reception are facilitated by a large ferrite rod antenna which can be rotated through 360 degrees for maximum signal optimisation.Ā There is also an external (3.5mm socket) antenna input for MW. Shortwave reception is facilitated either by using the extremely long telescopic antenna, or either the high or low impedance external antenna inputs. Additionally, SSB transmissions can also be received with the inbuilt BFO control. The receiver also features adjustable RF gain and tone controls, as well as a separate 3 step input attenuator. There is also an external IF output socket, allowing the connection of a suitable external DRM decoder.
TheĀ Tecsun S2000 Desktop Radio can be run from mains power or via D cell batteries (maximum current drain 250mA). This is the top of the desktop range radio by Tecsun and is designed to be a broadcast listeners radio (BCL).
Note for International Customers: This receiver is designed to operate from AC input voltage 220-240V. As the power supply is linear, it will not operate from 110V AC. However, the receiver can be operated from an external 6V DC power supply (polarity centre negative).

I am a licenced amateur operator for many years with a rather large shortwave radio collection. I own the Tecsun S2000 since October 2014. I buy shortwave radios only for the shortwave ability,and any other band is just a bonus for me. From my experience the S2000 has a very low noise floor,sensitivity is excellent even using only the telescopic antenna. I love the decent size ,because it is able to take “D” size batteries when I am not using it with the inbuilt power supply. The rotatable AM antenna is doing an excellent job. Using the S2000 is giving me lots of fun. Verdict: For the very reasonable price this radio is will give you lots enjoyable time surfing the bands. Great value. 5***** 73 de Lajos VK4 NTZ

As its sturdy this is the one for DX trips leaving the vintage ones at home

great radio love it for the shortwave and ssb it out preforms smaller short wave radios tecsun pl 660 and pl880 but as you know a lot depends on condictions ie propagation air band function i dont rate just works of internal antenna and theres not a lot on long wave either but the upside good medium wave rotatable antenna also 2 bnc connectors for external antennas sw and fm squelch bass treble clarify fbo knob for sidebands however how well a sqeulch function works for shortwave its debatable a/c power cord or 240v converted to d/c 6 volt adopter dont think both supplied maybe a/c adopter comes with it theres a european charger and one for asia market tested on d cell akaline batteries lasted 43 hours not great that will vary depending on tuning and volume levels its a mid range fuctional reciever

During the summer fire season I was away from home with poor mobile phone coverage and the possibility of power failure which would leave me without radio or tank water. So I ordered the most amazing small rechargeable radio from Tecsun. It arrived in a couple of days and I had Friendly help by phone with frequency selection. this all exceeded my expectations an I have a great product that can be used anywhere in the world, has solar and crank handle as well as USB recharging, has a torch, an alarm and more and was not too expensive.

I was always lusting over this receiver reading every review and articular i could find so i saved up the money and lashed out and perched it .It is a lot of money ,( you only get what you pay for) I have had this receiver for a number of years now and found It is super reliable and very user friendly and an absolute joy to use , it preforms extremely well .. The audio stage is super clear and i can have it as loud as i want with little distortion.Nothing has worn out of it and it still is as brand new .It is a very well engineered. and it looks fantastic in my electronics room . cheers Alan

Tecsun S2000 arrived in 3 days. I love this radio with its antenna and RF Gain controls it brings in shortwave and SSB frequncies clearer and with more natural voice sounds than any other radio I have ever used. I am able to connect it to both my longwire antennas and my airband outside antenna which brings in aircraft nice and clear as well. I wish I had purchased this radio a few years ago it truly is fantastic. Thanks Tecsun Australia.
