Description
Sometimes referred to as a “Galvanic Isolator” this Common Mode Choke is useful for both transmit and receive applications. In the transmit application, it is used to prevent RF currents flowing on the outside of the coax, preventing the feedline from becoming part of the antenna and radiating unintentionally, and preventing RF being fed back down the cable into your shack. Shortwave listeners can benefit too, by placing this isolator in the antenna feedline, noise being conducted on the outside braid is interrupted and does not reach the receiver. Supplied with BNC adaptors (SO-239 to BNC male and Pl-259 to BNC female) to suit most transceiver/applications.
