Description
The Tecsun AN100 AM Loop Antenna is an amzing device, designed to improve the reception of weak AM radio signals. The Tecsun AN100 AM Loop Antenna acts as a high Q pre-selector which can be tuned to the desired frequency/station. The Tecsun AN100 AM Loop Antenna will improve the audio quality and clarity when compared with the internal antenna. Additionally, the Tecsun AN100 loop antenna helps to reject adjacent frequencies/broadcasts that interfere with reception.
To operate the Tecsun AN100 Loop Antenna, first tune your receiver to the desired frequency and align the radio body for best reception. Then simply place the antenna in close proximity to the radio and adjust the tuning knob slowly on the antenna until you hear the received audio begin to change. Best results are obtained when the loop is at 90 degrees to the ferrite rod antenna, inside the receiver. The Tecsun radios Australia An-100 loop antenna works with any receiver using a ferrite rod antenna, even older valve receivers (AWA Radiola etc). older receivers without a ferrite rod antenna and utilising direct “Aerial” and Earth” terminals can be connected dorectly to the loop with the supplied cable.
Experiment with slightly different orientations and distance between the antenna and the receiver to achieve the optimum results. The Tecsun AN100 Loop Antenna doesn’t require any batteries or power source, making it ideal for travellers.
The AN100 loop antenna is also supplied with a 3.5 mm Stereo plug facilitating connection between the antenna and radios with a fixed AM antenna input. Note the tip of the connecting plug is not used. The output appears between the body and first ring on the 3.5 mm plug.
